Early Metahuman Testing
On April 21st, 2021, Epic Games released the first initial early access of MetaHuman Creator. I was one of the few folks who immediately jumped on it, and within a few days released just how impressive these characters were. I also learned just how important cinematic lighting is with MetaHumans, and so as part of an early test (with some iPhone facial capture), I created Kai. This was the first MetaHuman sequence I had ever rendered out of Unreal Engine, and I was stoked!
